Folk is a casual menswear brand born in 2001 in London by designer Cathal McAteer.
Folk’s about making clean, honest understated garments with a meticulous eye for colour, fabric selection and design detail. We create simple everday clothing with subtle, innovative and sometimes playful detailing. Cathal designs his collections keeping in mind what his friends would wear as well as having a fun, unrestrictive ethos to his designs yet paying close attention to function and detail.
Folk's inspirations can't be nailed down to specifics, with their ideas coming an array of sources, mainly from what they see and hear each day in London. Shapes, colours and textures play a big part in what Folk do.
