Wrangler
'Blue Bell' is the new range of premium denims from Wrangler. Wrangler has a rich history of producing the finest denim garments for the Cattle Ranch to the Building Site.
The Blue Bell Collection focuses on vintage jeans and past Wrangler design archives and applied that to the way we wear denim today. The unique washes developed especially for the Blue Bell range follow natural patterns of wear, giving each piece a unique vintage feel and look. The fit of this collection are developed from the masterful cutting techniques used at Wrangler, but the details are from the past with features such as the back pocket to prevent the all important wallet escaping.
The inspiration behind this collection are from the artist Henri Matisse. The french artist's Blue Nudes of the 1950's inspired the vivid violet used for the Blue Bell logo and cut out shapes. The name Blue Bell refers to the original company, Hudson Overall Company. At this point, the focus was on producing workwear, long lasting, reliable products for heavy labour. As a token of their appreciation, some Railway workers gave a bell to the company, which was placed in the plant in Greensboro, North Carolina as a mascot. Eventually the brass coloured bell turned blue and this new collection honours the history but also their progressive spirit.
